Relaxing is something that is not easy for a lot of Americans and the reason for this is that we try to be involved with just about everything. A good example of this is a recent advertising campaign by a car company which talked about how hard we always work and the need for us to be the best at everything and it is okay that we only get two weeks vacation a year because it is all about making money. Well that mindset is changing a lot. Millennials no longer adhere to those rules and lessons and as a result, we have an entire generation of people that is looking for a way to relax a bit more and have a better work life balance.
With this in mind, an entire industry is springing up that is devoted to ensuring that people have the ability to relax and be themselves. This is often when a yoga practice gets to be a lot more comfortable. A good example of this is working toward a solution that helps in making sure that you can do everything thing that you want to do outside of work and yet be successful at your job. Figuring this out is never the easy thing to do, but it often starts with making sure that you can relax when you are not in the office. Right now, the author has two things that are recommended. The first is the opportunity to do yoga. Yoga is renowned for helping people feel more centered and focused on the goals at hand.
Let’s take the breathing as a way for people to feel more centered. When you go to a yoga class, chances are that you are going to be doing some steady breathing for the beginning part of the class. The breathing helps you shut out all of your other thoughts and focus all of your energy on just the “in” and “out” of your breath. It works very well and is something that will allow for you to be happier in the long run. Similarly there are resources out there that will help you relax at home. One of them is essential oils. Essential oils are plant derivatives that help at the chemical level. For example, let’s take the bergamot essential oil.
You are familiar with bergamot tea and that is something that will help you relax. Similarly, the bergamot oil will help you feel calmer and more relaxed via aromatherapy. According to the website Plant Therapy, “Bergamot essential oil’s fresh, bright aroma calms the mind and uplifts the spirit. It is one of the best oils for diffusing as both an airborne antimicrobial and refreshing odor. Research studies in Taiwan found that Bergamot oil reduced both work-related stress and pre-operative stress. In a diffuser, combine equal parts of Bergamot, Patchouli and Grapefruit for a stress reducing aroma. Add a few drops to Grapeseed or Hazelnut carrier to help with oily skin and acne.” It is a great help to a number of people.
